About Sandy

Sandy Uffelman is a Chicago native and mom of three grown children. After marrying her husband in 1998, she’s moved all over the world. Her Pilates journey started in 2008 while living in London. She was experiencing severe neck and back pain due to poor posture and a past car accident. Months of two weekly sessions with a Physio there gave little to no relief. She then discovered pilates at a local studio and started private weekly sessions with an instructor. Amazed at how much better she felt, she decided to pursue her own training.

She’s trained in London, Singapore and Houston with Stott Pilates and is a certified instructor. She also has comprehensive classical Pilates training through Pure Body and is certified in Injuries and Special Populations. With genuine passion for her work, she is always eager to expand her skills through further training and stay current in her field.

She loves teaching one-on-one sessions and takes pride in designing workouts that are perfectly customized to every client’s needs. Benefits she has seen with her clients include more flexibility, stronger, leaner bodies, more positive attitude, better posture and less back, hip and knee pain. Having rheumatoid arthritis, she has found it’s the one form of exercise that doesn’t aggravate her joints but makes them feel better.

Pilates has dramatically improved Sandy’s body in how it feels, looks, and her whole outlook on life and she wants to bring that to her clients as well.
